One Week Old

This morning at 2:16 AM marked the end of Josh's first week with us. Here's his "official" one week pictures from today. He's having a lot more awake time and getting somewhat adjusted to a schedule. The outfit that is in these pictures is the first one that fits him well without being super loose. Either he's getting bigger already or I've just finally found the newborn clothes in the dresser that are actually meant to fit a newborn...

2nd Bath

Ok, so everyone says that there will be less pictures of the second one and I've been trying really hard to make sure that doesn't happen. Seeing as I didn't have all my camera equipment when Emma was first born its kind of hard to see how that will happen. That being said, last night we gave Josh his second bath and Jill promptly said "we didn't get any pictures of his first bath!" So here is a little less eventful second bath photo.

Family and Josh

Here are a few pictures of my mom and sister with Josh. I'm still trying to get caught up on getting pictures of everyone with him. We had a little more low key birth this time, so there weren't as many people there to get pictures with him right away. I'll keep posting them as I take them.

Another Photographer in the House

Here are a couple of more images from today. These make me smile-it always makes a daddy proud to see his little girl taking after him. Our neighbors across the street were cleaning out their garage last week before Joshua came and they offered Emma this old camera that they weren't using. We've been meaning to get Emma her own "real" camera to play with so it worked out great. As you can see, Emma doesn't quite know how to use the viewfinder (or point it the right way), but we'll work on that. This is one second shooter that will always be welcome.

Joshua Joseph Hildwine

So as you can see from the post title, he has a name now... We finally made it home at about 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Here are a few images of Joshua hanging out today. It was one of the rare times that his eyes have been open (the kid sleeps a LOT) so of course the camera came out. As you can see, Emma is a great big sister. She loves Josh.

Emma Meets Baby

Here are a few pictures of Emma's first visit to the hospital to see her new baby brother. She had lots of questions about him and was very well behaved. Lets hope it lasts...

He's Here!!!

Here are the first images of the newest member of the Hildwine family. He was born at 2:16 this morning and weighed in at 7lbs 11ozs and was 20 inches long. We're still in the final stages of picking a name (sleep took precedent after he finally came) but I will keep you all posted. More details to follow, but for now I badly need some coffee.
