Sunglasses-Part 2

We swung by Target today and I bought Emma a new pair of sunglasses. We figured we would try a regular pair without the straps and see how she did. Unfortunately, the glasses were attached to a piece of cardboard in the store so we really didn't scrutinize how they fit. Turns out that they hang off Emma's tiny nose, but she still loved them. Some of the girls in the neighborhood spotted her and figured she needed a few more accessories. I'm scared, it's starting already!

Last Week

It seems like the more Emma moves around, the less time I get to spend in front of the computer. Here's a few images from the last week or so:

Along with walking comes falling, and Emma has done her fair share of that lately. Luckily they forget what happened quickly at this age..

Emma settles in for a little Wiggles first thing after waking up in the morning. It's the one thing that will keep her still for more than five minutes at a time.

We were finally able to get the sunglasses on her, which is very timely because it has been bright outside. She did a little posing in her favorite play area (aka our neighbor's yard.)

Beautiful Day

Today it was almost 80 outside and since Emma is finally getting over her second ear infection in a row, we went outside to play. Emma is almost exclusively walking now, which gives her a lot more things to do outside. The whole neighborhood was out enjoying the weather. She had a quick visit from the girls across the street, but she still kept away from our neighbor Justin. She was keeping a close eye on him as you can see in the last frame. This was the kind of day that reminds us why we live in AZ. Too bad they'll be over before we know it and the 115 degree days will be here...

Emma's Feelin' Better

Emma has been fighting off an ear infection and a nasty infection on her finger for the last few days. The antibiotics have finally kicked in and she's back to her genial old self. The first frame is from last night when we were hanging out with all the friends. The other two are from this morning. Emma was taking a bath while Jill was in the shower and she seemed to want to try the shower out. We put her in and I loved how her hands looked as she leaned against the shower door. Of course the camera was nearby to record the whole thing.

Walking

Emma has finally gotten up the courage to start walking! She loves pushing her toy around the house and she has quickly gotten very good at maneuvering around obstacles. She still relies on support quite a bit, but she has managed to do about 10 steps at a time on her own.

Now that she has discovered that she can walk around, Emma is feeling a bit stir crazy in the house. We've taken several trips to the park over the last couple of days. Emma does a good job of wearing herself out, which has made for some nice long naps.

Website is UP!

The website is up and running. There aren't tons of pictures on there right now, but I am adding them as quickly as I can. Those of you who check in on the blog a lot will see a lot of familiar images, but there are some new ones in there too. Check it out and let me know what you think-www.erichildwine.com

Must Be Teething Again...

We discovered recently that Emma loved having her teeth brushed. She stole our toothbrushes and would play with them forever. We finally just bought her a toothbrush of her own and she loves it. These pictures are from Sunday afternoon. Today Emma was a total pill and was unhappy all day. Jill blames it on teething. I guess we'll know soon enough. I've never seen a kid with so many teeth!
